Summary of terms and conditions
# Minimum age of enrolment is 16 unless specified otherwise in the course or programme.
# All students are required to present on their first day; Original Passport, UK Visa, Certification/Qualification Originals and any other requested documentation as part of the Application Process, and the Institute will retain a copy.
# Students are encouraged to arrive for lessons on time. Late entry to the class is at the discretion of the teacher who may refuse entry to any student who is more than fifteen minutes late.
# Students must pay their tuition fees on time otherwise will not be allowed on to their Course. Failure to meet the deadline on payments will result in losing their place at the Institute, and BIETTEC must inform the UKBA Monitoring Unit.
# Course fees do not include course books, qualification fees, materials, travel expenses, social events or other additional activity.
# A student agrees on signing the registration form that BIETTEC keeps their personal records on its systems. Should any circumstances change it is the students responsibility to keep us informed of all changes, in particular, of any changes of home address in the UK, as well as in their home country, changes to emergency telephone numbers and contact names and change of email address.
# Students are not normally authorised to book holiday leave during academic time, authorisation is given when an application for leave is approved, which must comply with attendance and register procedures.
# Students at the Institute should consider one another and all teachers and other staff. Any student whose behavior causes inconvenience, offence or distress to other students or BIETTEC staff will be excluded from lessons. Persistent offenders will be expelled from BIETTEC and their course cancelled. The offender will not be entitled to a refund.
# Students are required to have at least an 85% attendance rate in every week. Students must attend their class regularly, or will be automatically removed from the register. The student will have to register again at the Reception and may not be able to go back to the same class if it is full. No extension or refunds will be made.
# BIETTEC will follow attendance procedures for students that are absent. We aim to find out and help students with genuine circumstances and attendance is part of the terms and condition of a learner contract, which must be understood and followed prior to commencing on your course.
# Under the new UKBA Tier 4 immigration system, it is now a legal obligation for BIETTEC to report extended periods of absence of more than 10 consecutive days to the UKBA monitoring unit.
# Letters and certificates will not be issued to students who have not paid, attended or reached the levels necessary for the documents they want.
# Students requiring signed documents must request them at least five working days before or pay a small fee for letters required more urgently.
# Details of the class times can be found in the reception or on your course guide. Classes start at 9.00am and finish at 6.00pm (latest).
# Students taking an examination course or higher education course will also be required to take a written test and will not be permitted onto the course if they are not at the required level.
# Change of class or time is strictly subject to availability. Although every effort is made to place students in the location and at the time of their choice, students can only move if there is a space in the class and if the student is at the right level for the class.
# Students will be required to pay for examination/awarding body fees in addition to course fees. A list of examination fees is obtainable from the reception. Examination fees vary, depending on the type of course being undertaken. It is the students responsibility to ensure that examination fees are paid on time.
# BIETTEC reserves the right to cancel, move or merge any class where there is insufficient demand or any other justifiable reason to do so. For cancelled classes the School will offer an alternative class of the same value or lesson vouchers.
# You must follow our refund policy to apply for a refund. If you do not follow the refund procedures you will not be eligible for a refund.
# Please follow our Complaints Procedure should you have any grievances or concerns.
